Job Information Global Aviation, Inc., a growing Pacific Northwest FBO is seeking an experienced avionics technician/installer to join our team of experienced technicians in a repair station environment. An A&P would be preferred along with avionics experience, but an experienced avionics technician with a mechanical background and willingness to work towards an A&P license would be considered.

The person in this position will perform maintenance on turbine powered private and business aircraft including models of Bombardier, Cessna Citation, Dassault, Hawker, and Gulfstream.  Responsibilities include servicing, inspection, repair, avionics installation, avionics troubleshooting and modification of aircraft and/or aircraft systems and components, applying technical knowledge and experience to efficiently repair aircraft discrepancies, and properly documenting all work performed.

Successful candidates will present a clean cut appearance, have good communication skills, both verbal and written, and be successful in working independently and in a team environment.

Requirements:

– Possession of a valid US Driver’s License
– Possession of a complete set of hand tools appropriate to aircraft maintenance
– Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a U.S. Passport
– Ability to read and interpret instructions, technical manuals and/or directives
– Proficiency using computers with Windows operating system
– Ability to lift up to 95 pounds, work in confined spaces, work while wearing a respirator, work at elevated heights on ladders, lifts and other surfaces.
– Understand and comply with Federal Aviation Regulations, OSHA Health and Safety Regulations, and Company policies including Standards of Conduct.
– Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, after-hours call out, and/or on-call duty.
– Ability and willingness to travel as required for training and/or to meet customer maintenance needs.

-Preference may be given to candidates with the following:
– 5+ years recent experience maintaining current production business jets.
– Recent formal maintenance training on current production business jets.
– Formal Avionics training
– FAA Inspection Authorization
– Recent experience maintaining aircraft operated under FAR 135

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. Overtime and weekend work may be required and there is a rotating on-call schedule.
