JOB SUMMARY
This position will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Accounting Department, budgeting/forecasting, reconciling accounts, preparing internal financial statements for review and participating in processes that ensure compliance with agency fiscal policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting Manger supports the day-to-day operations and accounting processes. This may include all or portions of GL, fixed assets, Accounts Payable /Accounts Receivable functions, creating and tracking budgets by department, banking transactions/cash flow, month-end procedures, bi-weekly payroll reviews. This position is responsible for various quarterly, annual and year-end procedures, including preparing and recording some year-end journal entries, provides backup documentation as needed, research, compile, and prepare data to complete fiscal reporting as needed.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of experience and training that would likely meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration;
  • Five years of experience working in financial accounting. GAAP standards preferred;
  • Five years of Quick Books (Pro or Enterprise)
  • Must be detail oriented with high level of accuracy;
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated;
  • Proven analytical skills and ability to problem solve;
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to multitask in order to meet deadlines;
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;
  • Ability and willingness to work as a team member;
  • Possess computer skills including competency in accounting database software as well as Windows, Microsoft Excel and Word;
