Customer Service Representative  Global Aviation, Inc. is looking for an individual who values providing exceptional customer service, communication and is looking to build a career in the Aviation Industry.   The ideal candidate is an excellent team player, proactive individual with the ability to multi-task while remaining focused and professional.  This person is detail-oriented, extremely organized, demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and has the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service – You will serve as the first impression for Global Aviation by proactively welcoming and assisting passengers, clients and employees. You will be the central point of contact for transient clients, processing their service requests and payments.
  • Communication – You will be the central point of communication for the campus, managing and directing incoming phone calls on a multi-line phone system as well as Unicom & handheld radio systems for ramp communications.
  • Scheduling and Coordinating – You will coordinate aircraft arrivals and departures from Global Aviation which includes; making reservations for hotel & transportation as requested by passengers, crew car scheduling and on-site meeting room scheduling.
  • Security Support – As a Front Desk employee, you will assist in Global’s compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and regulations by issuing and retrieving visitor badges, monitoring visitors entering through the North gate, activating and terminating card keys as necessary, and running daily access reports.
  • Administrative Duties – You will be responsible for the general clerical support within Global Aviation by stocking and maintaining office supplies as well as sorting and distributing mail.
  • Office Aesthetics –  As part of the first impression for Global Aviation, you will be responsible for the general aesthetics of the front desk, lobby and conference room, passenger waiting area, pilot lounge, first floor rest rooms and first floor break room.

Specific Job Skills & Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service and teamwork skills;
  • Professional appearance and attitude;
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure;
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently;
  • Experience in MS Office applications with good keyboarding and 10-key skills;
  • Experience in using multi-line phone systems;
  • Experience using general office equipment, such as copy, scan and fax machine;
  • Physical ability to hear, talk and sit for extended periods;
  • Possession and maintenance of a valid driver’s license from state of residence, a good driving record within the last three years and proof of insurance;
  • Physical ability to hear, talk and sit for periods of an hour or longer; and
  • Satisfactory pre-employment drug screening and background check results.

Education and/or Experience:  High school education or equivalent, minimum. Experience of one or more years in a customer service-related field, preferred, in the aviation industry, desired.

Job Conditions:  The working environment is in an office setting, specifically located at the front desk reception area in the main lobby. Working conditions include working alone and with others, with frequent interruptions and extensive computer and keyboarding work.

Compensation: $16.50-$19.50 / hour DOE.  Health & Dental Benefits and 401(k) are provided.
