Global Aviation Made Bombardier-Authorized Service Provider in the U.S. Pacific Northwest
HILLSBORO, OR (August 7, 2008) – Global Aviation, Inc. a private, full service aviation company has become a Bombardier-Business Aircraft authorized Aircraft On Ground/Line Maintenance Facility (AOG/LMF) in the U.S. Pacific Northwest.
Located at the Portland-Hillsboro Airport (KHIO), this relationship adds yet another significant facet to Global’s superior product offering of aircraft charter, maintenance and management services.
With this new authorization as AOG/LMF for Bombardier Business Aircraft, Global Aviation is now authorized to perform line maintenance on Learjet 40, 45, and 60 aircraft models, the Challenger 604 and 605 aircraft models, as well as the Global family of aircraft.
Bombardier Aerospace is a world leader in the design and manufacture of innovative aviation products and is a provider of related services. Bombardier’s aircraft portfolio includes a comprehensive line of business aircraft, commercial aircraft including regional jets, turboprops and single-aisle mainline jets and amphibious aircraft. It also offers aftermarket services as well as fractional ownership and flight entitlement programs.
“This designation is supremely important to Global as we continue to pursue unparalled industry excellence,” said Flo Newton, President Global Aviation. “Bombardier is one of the premier aviation companies and to partner with them is another step toward our goal of remaining the best aviation service provider in the U.S. Pacific Northwest.”
The process for being designated a Bombardier AOG/LMF for business aircraft is stringent and requires a substantial investment in technician training, special tooling and ground support equipment. Operators of Bombardier aircraft in the region rallied and became advocates for Global’s designation.
The AOG/LMF designation enables Global Aviation to provide AOG and line maintenance support and the ability to process warranty claims. This is a significant benefit to Bombardier aircraft operators based in the region, as well as to those transiting the Northwest. Global’s maintenance personnel will also mobilize and travel to assist operators at other airports, both domestic and international.
“After a thorough review of the candidate facilities, Bombardier selected Global Aviation to provide AOG and line maintenance support to Bombardier Business Aircraft in the region. We are looking forward to working with a quality maintenance organization such as Global Aviation.” said Gary Dolski, Director, Bombardier Business Aircraft ASF Management
With the addition of Bombardier, Global Aviation will now offer maintenance and repair services for the most popular aircraft models including, Gulfstream, Dassault, Hawker, Cessna Citation, Embraer and Pilatus. Global offers 63,000 square feet of heated hangar space with plans for a 27,000 square foot expansion. For more information please see www.flyglobalnow.com.
