Pumpkin Fudge

3 cups granulated sugar

1 cup whole milk

3 tablespoons corn syrup

½ cup canned pumpkin

¼ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

1 ½ teaspoons vanilla

½ cup butter

In a 3 quart saucepan, combine sugar, milk, corn syrup, pumpkin, salt and spice.

Bring to boil until temperature reaches 232 degrees Fahrenheit. Remove from heat- add vanilla and butter. Let stand until temperature drops to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. Begin to stir until thickened, pour into a buttered 8”x 8” pan.  Cool, remove from pan, and cut into squares.  Store in a cool, dry place.
