Job Information

We are currently looking for a motivated individual to add to our Line Service Team as a Facility Manager.  This position manages all maintenance projects and capital improvements of Global’s physical buildings and grounds.  Projects will support both short and long-term facility maintenance operations.  Position involves encountering frequent new and varied work situations. Position performs duties independently with minimal supervision, operating within established and well-known procedures.  Position involves a high degree of complexity due to nature of items relating to safety of flight and negotiations with vendors and suppliers. Mistakes/errors may result in a compromise of the safety of an aircraft, delayed return to service of aircraft, noncompliance with FAA or DOT regulations, unnecessary expense, poor customer perceptions and disruption in the Maintenance Department’s workflow.

Essential Job Functions

Facility Management

  • Maintains the appearance and responsible for the functional upkeep of the Company’s facility and grounds in a clean and safe working condition. This includes minor mechanical, electrical work, plumbing installation and miscellaneous repairs.
  • Arranges with contractors and/or company employees for maintaining the Company’s facility and equipment in a clean and safe working condition.
  • Participates in long-range operation planning and informally makes recommendations concerning long-range strategic planning.


  • Provides assistance with the Company’s safety program as needed.
  • Acts as Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures Plan (SPCC) Coordinator or assistant SPCC Coordinator.
  • Carries out any designated Emergency Response Plan Responsibilities.


  • Prepares annual Facility Budget and monitors expenditures to ensure proper and efficient management of funds.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensures compliance with applicable city, state and federal regulations governing the operation of the Company’s facility, including the fuel storage tanks and fuel truck (e.g. safety and fire code regulations, environmental regulations, health department regulations).
  • Ensures compliance with Port of Portland requirements.
  • Maintains facility related records.

General Management

  • Meets and negotiates with suppliers and vendor and representatives.
  • Ensures that contractors and vendors working at the facility meet minimum insurance requirements.

  • High mechanical aptitude is required.

  • Ability to make effective decisions regarding cost-value analysis for goods and services and

  • Ability to be creative with a potentially limited budget is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with FOS, Corridor and payroll software is preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, understand and speak English is required.
  • Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply and divide) is required.
  • Physical ability to use computer hardware, continuously hear, and frequently stand, walk,
  • type, talk, reach, bend, grasp and feel is required.
  • Physical ability to push up to 50 pounds, pull up to 50 pounds, lift up to 25 pounds and carry up to 30 pounds is required.
  • Physical ability to operate a forklift is required.
  • Availability to attend off-site training and seminars is required.
  • Possession and maintenance of a valid driver’s license from state of residence is required.
  • Satisfactory pre-employment drug screening and background check results will be required.
  • Continued ability to pass random drug tests will be required.

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Education or equivalent, required
  • Associates Degree or higher, preferred
  • 2-4 Years Facility Management required.
