David White is the Chef de Cuisine at Global Aviation

Global Aviation customers may have noticed some new options on the inflight menu and a new face in the kitchen. David White joined the catering team in July as the Chef de Cuisine. Menu creation, staff management and plating design are just a few of his responsibilities.

In actuality, White is not “new” to Global Aviation. Since 2004, White has been intertwined in the Global Aviation family. He was introduced to the company through a position as private yacht chef for Global Aviation investor, Harry Merlo. That role eventually led to an introduction and opportunity to be a contract chef for Global Aviation’s Executive Chef, Elaine Frances, for the past seven years.

“I’m proud to have witnessed Elaine grow Global Aviation catering into a successful operation,” said White. “Now that I am on the team, I am really enjoying the challenge of preparing very specialized meals for the company’s high profile clients.”

All told, White has over 20 years experience as a culinary professional along with a degree in Business Management. He has a diverse background ranging from fine dining menu design, to catering and events management, to house staff training. White looks forward to using his acquired skills to help continue the growth of Global Aviation’s catering department.

When White is not in the kitchen he enjoys playing guitar and golfing. One of his favorite getaways is digging for clams along the coast of Long Beach, Washington. Not surprisingly, White also loves to try new places to dine.
