Kingston welcomeWhile the grand opening of Global Aviation’s expansive new hangar was big news this year, the company is also celebrating the growth of its family of valuable staff, the birth of some adorable babies, important work anniversaries and retirements.

Welcome Babies in 2014

Micaela Mareina, Assistant to the President, and her husband Daniel welcomed their first child this year, Kingston Connor Mareina. Their bouncing baby boy arrived July 17th at 6:30am.

A baby boy arrived for Rashelle Bybee, Flight Operations Administrative Assistant, and Jacob Bybee, Detailing Coordinator, on October 24th at 8:20am. Micah Matthew Bybee joins big brother, Isaac.

Matt Kaufmann, Line Service Supervisor, and Shinneaka Wilson received an early Christmas present this year with the arrival of a son, Brahn Kaufmann. The little bundle arrived at 3:05am on November 29th.

Best Wishes in Retirement

Pilot Bert Zimmerly retired from Global Aviation in 2014 at the age of 80. “I have flown by my count 854 different aircraft in my life and am only hours short of logging 25,000 hours,” said Zimmerly. Read more about his impressive career here.

Jim Marquard also retired this year. Marquard was Global Aviation’s Purchasing and Facility Manager. He was with the company for nearly 12 years.
