Arakaki joined Global Aviation earlier this year as a Customer Service Representative. She quickly began training for Charter Sales and transitioned to working full-time for the team providing quotes for customers in July.

“I’m continually impressed with how knowledgeable and hardworking everyone is at Global Aviation,” said Arakaki. “It’s great to be a part of the Charter Sales team where there’s never a dull moment, and the list of things to do never seems to get smaller.”

“In Global Aviation’s Charter Operations we pride ourselves on accuracy and getting the details right for our customers. Kyla is a great asset to our team,” said Carla Boleen, Charter Operations Manager.

When Arakaki is away from helping aviation customers, she volunteers weekly at the Oregon Food Bank. The organization works with a cooperative, statewide network of partner agencies to distribute emergency food to hungry families. Oregon Food Bank also fights hunger’s root causes through public policy advocacy, nutrition and garden education and work to strengthen community food systems.

With a full schedule of work and volunteering, Arakaki also makes time for long-distance running. In October 2013, she ran her first marathon in Portland, Oregon. Arakaki was surprised and thrilled by her time. She qualified and will be running the Boston Marathon on April 20, 2015.
