New Global Aviation CSR, Kyla Arakaki celebrates after running her first marathon.

A new face and voice is helping customers and employees at the Global Aviation front desk. Kyla Arakaki is the company’s new Customer Service Representative (CSR). Arakaki continues a tradition of serving customers with unmatched professional and personable care.

Arakaki is an experienced customer service representative with a degree from Northern Arizona University.  She began working at Global Aviation in April and is excited to put her skills to work in the aviation industry. Arakaki is enjoying the daily challenges of making sure customers and the Global Aviation team get what they need and keep on schedule.

“Everyday I am enlightened with new information regarding customers, phone handling, plane information and flight operations,” says Arakaki. “I am enjoying meeting the Global Aviation employees and customers. Everyone is working hard and enjoying their work.”

When Arakaki is away from helping aviation customers, she is often volunteering her time at the Oregon Food Bank.  The organization works with a cooperative, statewide network of partner agencies to distribute emergency food to hungry families. Oregon Food Bank also fights hunger’s root causes through public policy advocacy, nutrition and garden education and work to strengthen community food systems.

“It is encouraging to know that a few hours of repackaging food can make a huge impact in local families lives,” said Arakaki. “I originally signed up for a one day event, but I enjoy the fun and interesting people I meet and have gladly become a weekly volunteer.”

With a full schedule of work and volunteering, Arakaki still finds time to fuel her passion for running. In October 2013, she ran her first marathon in Portland, Oregon and qualified to run in the 2015 Boston Marathon. Currently, she is training for the Stars and Stripes Marathon in Beaverton on July 5th.
