A major fundraising event for Providence Heart and Vascular will be held this month at Global Aviation
Global Aviation President and Providence Heart and Vascular Institute board member, Flo Newton, is bringing two passions together this month. Soon, Global Aviation will provide its support and facility for a major fundraising event benefitting the Institute. Attendees will get a unique glimpse at
“The Future of Heart Care.”
After three years on the Institute’s board of directors, Newton says, “I am tremendously impressed with the work Providence Heart and Vascular Institute does and their approach to innovative heart health. I am thrilled to share our facilities and services for such a worthy cause.”
The by-invitation event is the beginning of a major fundraising effort to match a $25 million grant from Nike founder Phil Knight and his wife, Penny. The $50 million Next Generation campaign is designed to bring the most advanced treatments and innovations to patients served by Providence, Oregon’s leading provider of cardiac care.
In addition to expert, physician-led heart care presentations, guests will also hear live music and enjoy hors d’oeuvresand drinks provided by Executive Chef Elaine Frances and the Global Aviation catering department.
Providence Heart and Vascular Institute comprises more than 80 highly-skilled physicians and surgeons. Each year at the Institute, more than 13,000 patients benefit from the latest advances in diagnosis, treatment and cardiac surgery. Through clinical research trials, patients also have access to many new therapies before they become widely available.
